@sbirdie24: I just finished Leslee Mitchell's photography workshop. If you ever have the opportunity, do not hesitate to attend--it will be one of the best things you do for your photography--whether it is your business or hobby. I truly felt that I underpaid compared to other workshops I have taken given the amount of time and coverage of topics. Not only was Leslee's workshop super informative from a technical standpoint, it was also extremely entertaining and I learned so much more than I ever expected.

Leslee's personality is as mesmerizing as her photos. She has a wicked sense of humor that kept me laughing almost the entire time. Besides the usual technical discussions, Leslee also covered how to style photos, how to bring out and capture natural candid moments, how to create and capture gorgeous light in a variety of situations, how to find your style, how to deal with real life shooting situations from both a technical standpoint and from a potentially difficult people perspective (mothers of brides, scared stiff grooms, wedding planners), plus many many other topics. Somehow, in 6 short hours, Leslee comprehensively manages to give you a front row seat into the challenges as well as the rewards of running a photography business. She is refreshingly honest and open to sharing her experiences and advice--she is not arrogant, she is encouraging and supportive.

When I look at the beautiful photography on Leslee's website, I now have a much better understanding of how much heart, soul, planning and just plain hard work goes into her work product. This is a do not miss workshop for anyone interested in wedding photography, but it is also very relevant to portraiture, landscapes, interiors, styled product shoots as well.

@happy.pretty.life: When I moved to the Nashville area three years ago, I was thrilled to attend a one on one workshop with THE @lesleemitchell ! Coming from Michigan, My shooting style at the time was more to appease clients as opposed to shooting in a style I truly loved and felt a passion for. Leslee taught me more in one afternoon than I had learned in 4 years of shooting. I learned to be true to who I am. To stop comparing my work to others and concentrate on studying my own. I have grown so much in that time. I still carry my notes from that day in my camera bag wherever I go. And so much of what I learned from her has also carried over into every facet of my career. Thank you Leslee! Sincerely and in a non-stalkerish way. If you live in the Nashville area- or even if you don't- I encourage you to run, not walk to sign up to learn from the queen!

@hummuschick: I've had the pleasure of learning step by step photography lessons in Leslee's workshop! As an amateur, I was overwhelmed with how to work the camera, style and work with lighting. Leslee taught me how to use take a subject and style my craft in a captivating way, making my images visually stunning. Today, I use those skills in my personal and business life and I can't wait to attend the next workshop to keep learning from her. It's such a privilege to learn from a world renowned photographer. Leslee is an artist with a teacher's heart! 5 stars.

@kristinrushin: Leslee Mitchell has put together a great hands on workshop that touches on every aspect of becoming a better photographer and well as a better business manager. She is extremely open about techniques she uses to achieve certain looks and provides models, learn to scout out locations and she shoots along side you giving detailed instruction on how to get the best exposure and composition. I learned everything from great lens selection, to the best shooting times, how to take flattering shots and many tried and true business practices to grow your photography business. This workshop is helpful for the amateur that wants to take it to the next level as well as a professional who is ready to throw in with the top tier professionals.

Located in the heart of one of the most desirable areas in Nashville, the retreat will be held in a 12 South bungalow style home just 2 blocks from 12 South Avenue.
